Does recline of the CR affect head excursion when FFing? Can you provide me with a source if so? Thanks!

I know that the more upright the seat is installed, the "safer" it is, however it's obviously still safe to install the seat with the recline (if allowed by the manual) or else the manual wouldn't state that you can do so.

It has to still pass testing regarding the head excursion limit, or else you wouldn't be allowed to install it reclined, you know?

It's generally something that I wouldn't worry about, unless the geometry of the vehicle seat and the car seat make it seem really reclined.

And on a side note, isn't it interesting that Britax has recline bars and blocks for installing their higher weight harness seats? (like the Frontier MUST be in recline mode when used harnessed)... makes me wonder if reclining might decrease head excursion in some way, depending on the design of the seat?

Anyway, I'll second the above, if it's allowed to be in recline mode, it should have passed all testing that way (for some weight limits, as Britax has, or any weight limit, as a few of the other seats have).

That is interesting.. Do all higher weight harnessed seats recline?
