Does the true fit need to be in recline mode when rfing? Or does it just need to be reclined on the seat to a minimum of 35 degrees?

It needs to be in recline mode - in other words the foot needs to be flipped towards the child's feet - while RF'ing. While installing, you can push down on the foot of the seat to change the recline to as upright as 35*.

The true fit premier doesn't have a foot to flip. Does it? There is a yellow handle to push up to make the seat recline, Does the seat need to be reclined with that when rear-facing?

The TFP and TFR don't need to be in recline mode.....

True Fit- recline foot must be flipped forward.

True Fit Recline- recline foot must be flipped forward. The addition recline is optional

True Fit Premiere- The anti-rebound bar must be flipped forward. The additional recline is optional.

It's confusing because of the different models.

Okay, I didn't realize that. I thought the premier was the same as the regular one without the anti-rebound bar.

So, that is good that I don't have to recline the seat, then. I tried it today reclined with no headrest and the seat without headrest takes up too much room so dh wouldn't be able to have the seat all the way back. It would take up even more room with the headrest!
