Those using the Frontier 80 as a booster

How do you like it, overall? We're really happy with it as a harnessed seat but will probably be moving to booster mode in the next 6 months to a year (I like to plan ahead). Dd's a young 5 and is just 40 lbs, sits well when we do a short booster ride, I'm just not ready for a full-time booster rider yet! Anyway, if you use the Frontier 80 as a booster, are you happy with it? Any quirks or advice? Thanks!

Love it! But it's pretty hard for the younger set to reach over and buckle in some cars, so when Leah (4, 41lbs/44in) has a short trip in it, I have to reach and buckle her, it's ever so much easier to leave her harnessed. The older kids, from age 8-12, have used it and loved it as a booster for years, though.

Love it as a booster.

Ds will be transitioning to full-time booster use after the holiday season, he'll be almost 6, but he's a lightweight, about 42 pounds. I have the SG clip for him to use.

I'd transition now, but XH is taking him on a long trip right after Christmas and I want ds harnessed for it.

Gwen loves it. When she first started using it (6 years-old) I thought it was a bit wide at the shoulders so I used the Vivo for a while (she doesn't like that booster). I think the shoulder belt fit is better in the Turbo, but it's adequate in the Frontier and she prefers the Frontier. It took her a while to learn to buckle it, but now she does it like a pro. She loves the leg support and the head wings (she has a turbo in the other car and complains that the wings aren't big enough to sleep comfortably). I love that it LATCHes.
