So disappointed with my new FR85!

I love everything about the seat. Except the harness adjuster. When I get the seat installed nice and tight it becomes a bear to tighten and loosen the harness. I am sooooo bummed. Am I missing something? I tried reinstalling it but to no avail. It is third row, passenger side in a 2006 Odyssey.

Did you check the entire harness to make sure it's not twisted anywhere or pinched or caught on something? I had it get stuck once (when I pulled it too loose) but other than that, it is super easy to adjust, which is why I LOVE it. (And by it I mean all 4 that we own.)

I'd call Britax - they can walk you through troubleshooting and if there is something wrong with it they will ship you a new seat.

Our harness adjuster is very tight also. It's pretty easy to loosen but I really have to put some weight on it to tighten it. I've found if you pull down towards the floor with the adjuster strap it's easier to tighten. I've started just leaving it tightened most of the time and only adjusting it if I need to.

Ours is also very very easy and super smooth to both tighten and loosen. Which is one of the things I

about this seat. I would call Britax for sure!

I think some of it has to do with how the harness is routed over the height adjuster in the back. But the guard in the back covering the harness also pushes against it when it's installed nice and tight.
