Question Evenflo chest clips

I just got a Tribute and I hate the chest clip. I like the one on the Titan and they sell that kind at BRU. Is it okay to get one and put it on the Tribute? They are both evenflo so I would imagine it's okay.

What's the difference? Can you post a picture? My tribute was a program seat and came with the paperclip style clip. I bought a 2-piece from evenflo and it was the same as the ones I had on the titans.

I like the one on the Tribute better than the one on my Titan ;) But, I'd call Evenflo and see what they say.

I just don't like that it's REALLY hard to get open. Maybe with some use it would get better? I'm planning on using it with a newborn so I don't want to struggle with the chest clip, KWIM?

Be careful before the mods come and start yelling

But the chest clip doesn't come off the EFTA w/o cutting the harness ;)
:happy-wavehello: <<<--That's me, yelling.

Anyway, yeah, there's no way to take it off the Triumph without cutting the harness...

I'm pretty sure any Evenflo Chest Clip is fine on any Evenflo seat, but maybe a call to them or a check on their website would make you 100% sure :)

I also find the Tribute chest clip very hard to open. I had some difficulty with it. I hope I get used to it as I use the seat more. I recently got to play with a friends Evenflo Embrace seat and the chest clip was the same but smaller for an infant seat, it was also very hard to open. Even harder than the tribute chest clip.

Whoops,sorry.

What, I can't remove my EFTA harness??? Evah??? At all????

Because....um.... there's no visible splitter plate. You can't take the harness off the seat. So..... you can't change the chest clip or crotch buckle.

When I called evenflo for a new chest clip, they sent me the second type. I'd call evenflo, but I bet the second kind is fine to use on the tribute. I found that clip to be more difficult to undo than the dorel clip. It looks like the new tribute clip is similar to dorel's with the one push button.

As for the efta, I have heard reports from people who's chest clips have broken on a 2 year old seat, and Evenflo tells them they have to buy a whole new seat because the chest clip isn't replaceable.

Good way to make money! Good thing I only payed $30 for my two Titans.

Wow, holy cow, why was that never listed under "major con of the EFTA"?? LOL, I NEED the option to replace the harness in my primary seats... spills happen, puke happens, LIFE happens.
