MEC Toaster suit??

My sister is looking for something for her 8 month old that is windproof and will work in the carseat. I know the Patagonia Puffball suit works, but it's quite expensive, so she was wondering what the Toaster suit is like. Any other recs are welcome as well:)

The Toaster suit is too thick for the carseat, IMO. We do the Ursus plus the Newt sometimes, but if she doesn't already have them, the cost of buying both is more than the Puffball. Patagonia stuff holds its resale value very well, though. She could sell it next winter on GearSwap if she doesn't have another child to pass it down to.
