My brother an EMT/figherfighter.... called and asked what the law is for sitting in the front seat for kids.

i told him maryland has no law saying a child can't be, and then told him best practice... 13yrs and all that and he thinks its bull... he says that its just as safe and all this crap i stood my side pretty well i think lol, he is saying but you haven't ever seen it in an accident and i said nope but from all the things i have read and seen and learned, from people WHO have seen it and make it there job studying such.. blah blah blah... lol

anyway do you have any links i can send him with hard facts?
he doesn't have kids of his own, and was asking cause another friend asked him for advice, so i told him he should tell the parents best practice to since they came to him for advice. and want to keep there kids safe.....

Not exactly what you were asking for, but on the back side of the passenger visor, there is a warning about kids under 12 should not sit in front of an airbag. I mean, it's in just about every car built since the 90's....

A new study finds children are 40 percent safer in the backseat than the front in car crashes, and the risk of injury drops to less than 2 percent when safety seats and seat belts are used.

All children should sit in the back seat, buckled up. "NHTSA recommends all children 12 and under sit in the back seat, but the American Academy of Pediatrics doesn't have an age cut off. Actually, sitting in the back seat is the safest for every human being," says Dr. Murray Katcher, chair of the Committee on Injury and Poison Prevention for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
