Question Booster for race style "bucket" seats?

OK, so a 4y/o little boy who goes to dd2's preschool is transported in his father's Mitsubishi Eclipse 2 door in the front seat w/o a booster with the shoulder portion of the seat belt behind his back  Ya, so after me having a coronary I offered my Vivo :( to him. I put it in the very small back seat which are very contoured bucket seats  The base of the Vivo was not really on much of the seat because of deep contours...what is he suppose to do? This guy is a real ass so telling him that this car is NOT compatible with children will not go over well. But then again, he was willing to use the Vivo...what do I do

He needs something with kind of like a V shaped base (something that will nestle into the scooped-out vehicle seat). Harmony LiteRider at Walmart has that type of bottom. The new Harmony Carpooler and highback version, V6, have that type of narrow bottom design too but I don't know if those are available yet.

What about the probooster since it has a small base? It might just fit between the contours. Or does it have the same base as the vivo?

I don't know about the HB Harmony boosters but the one that came to my mind was the literider. It's only $13.50 too! Yes, I know we'd all MUCH rather see that little boy in a high-back booster but a booster at all with a belt positioned properly is MUCH better than the front with nothing and belt behind him.

I agree, plus Dad maybe more likely to use it correctly

I woudl not advise the turbo in this situation. At least it does not work AT ALL in dh's bucket seats like that (dh has an Mercedes SLK). Especially since the TB requires the back of the seat to be flush with the seat back of the car's seat, so the hbb most likely won't work at all. Backless *might*, but usually the arm rests are too wide for the seat contours. The literider works great, however.

I'm going to go and pick up a few of the harmony literiders at Walmart tomorrow  Maybe then I can get my Vivo back.

I fit a Compass B510 in dh's last fun car, a '95 Firebird with scooped out back seats. A Turbo was no where near fitting in there!
