Ok I don't watch television often, but my husband watches it all the time. I walked in to this Cops show this morning (probably a repeat) and it caught my attention:
I wasn't sure where to start with what is wrong with this picture!
A man was driving a pickup truck with 4 kids in the cab of the truck, and no car seats (or seatbelts). At a red light, one of the younger ones opened the door, and he and his sister fell out onto the road as the dad started driving on the green light. Someone stopped and helped the kids back into the truck, and another person called the police with his plate number.
The kids were scraped up but not seriously hurt, and the policeman explained that 3 of the kids should have been in car seats (under age 4), and the oldest should have been in a seat belt. I think this was in Indiana. Then they got all the kids back into this crowded pickup cab and put a seatbelt over all of them and told them they need to wear seatbelts! No fine - nothing!
