Good thing...

I never got DS a Maestro for my moms car. My gut just said I needed to hold off on it as I wasn't fully impressed by it. The kiddo now weighs 50lbs, so even though he'd likely still have a little bit of harness room in it he's maxed out the weight. So if I had bought it he'd only have gotten 2-3 months use out of the harness.

I've been booster training him w/ the Vivo Alica has sold me (uh, I still need to get her her moola) & he's doing well. I'm still not fully ready for him to use a booster w/ my mom in her car, but I think it's our only real choice at this time (unless DH is around to help switch the GN from our van to her truck). When he stays the night w/ her she's actually been doing good at not really going anywhere w/ him. If they go anywhere it's usually w/ my sister who has a GN in her car for him (yes, she rarely sees DS anymore yet she won't let my mom use her GN, she's selfish like that).

Glad you stayed away from the maestro. I hope he does well with the booster when he is with your mom.

Is evenflo planning on coming out with a Maestro 65 any time soon? I know they have increased the weight limit on a few other seats, but don't remember if the maestro is one of them.
