Well, that didn't last long (ERF)...

DD (will be four at the end of this month) has been RFing for a few weeks in our new CA. However, after several miserable carsickness episodes, she's FFing again. I suffer from motion sickness myself, so there's no way I'm making her tolerate that misery. And let this be incentive to KEEP your little ones rear facing for as long as possible! I turned her at 33 lbs. (which is fine - it was the limit of our Blvd) but after riding FFing for the past year, she's obviously lost the knack for RFing without carsickness.

"Rear facing makes my tummy hurt." How sad is that?!?

Oh well, the CA seems like a great FFing seat, too, and it's nice to have the SIP for FFing.

Lol. My 2 year old just loves to spin around and around when she's feeling silly. She likes it when we pick her up and spin her but it gets both of us dizzy/headachy fast. My husband said the other day "I guess little kids don't get dizzy" and I said it was a good thing, otherwise idk how she could tolerate riding backwards in a car. I know I would be sick as a dog if *I* was facing backwards. Heck even reading in the car gets me sick.

There's only so much you can do. I'm sure your kid will be fine ff. You still get an A for effort :D

I have riden rear-facing a couple times as an adult on a firetruck to the scenes of accidents and such. It is defintely a different experience than riding forward facing especially at 60MPH.

From the day I was born until now my mother has had a series of station wagons, all with the RF seat in the back. I sat in it when I was 16 or so with a friend (totally didn't notice the sticker that said "total combined weight of passengers not to exceed 150 pounds...) and I was soooo sick the entire time. Not a good plan for me.

There was also a seat between the driver and passenger which I rode in routinely as a child:whistle:
