In his Radian.... I cant figure out whats bothering him

Any ideas? How can I make him more comfortable? (safely of course, and without buying a new seat!)

He is not usually one to complain, but does often now.

Is he sitting all the way back? A lot of times sliding forward toward the crotch strap can do that if it's too far forward...

My dd complains a lot in her Avenue too. I'm curious to see what other responses are as I'm looking for a possible solution (without a new seat) also.

I have the crotch strap in the middle slot and I have him sit his butt all the way back in the seat in order to strap him in (I leave the harness tightened all the time, so I have to squish him for a second until the buckles click), so I dont think he is slouching, he doesnt look like it anyway, and he doenst sleep in the car ever.

I guess the middle slot is the right one for him, the inner one would be too tight and the outer one is for sure to far out for him as he is tiny. (3yrs, 3months as of yesterday)

He was complaining even on our trip this past weekend, I had his seat installed at 45*, and he was complaining again on the way home from the airport in our Jeep, where its much more upright. He looks different as far as how he sits in the seat installed more upright vs not, but complains either way.

(BTW the radian installs perfectly at 45*, rock solid, with LATCH in the center in the brand new Chrysler even on the leather seats. 3 LATCH positions and plenty of room for 2 adults in the back and 2 in the front. It took me like 5min to get it in there. Too bad the car drives like its a boat!)

You know, he's at an age where some kids just complain. My second went through a big loud complaining about the car seat stage at that age; I don't know if they're growing rapidly or just ornery at that age, or what, but some kids do complain no matter what you do at that point. :shrug-shoulders:
