narrowest infant seat?

We're trying to fit 3 across in a Honda Accord. I got a Cosco Scenera & a Evenflo Maestro which are both supposed to be really narrow, but our current infant seat definitely does not fit in there with them. I think another Scenera would fit...maybe...but would really prefer to have an infant seat. Are there any really narrow ones out there?

Also, does the front of a RF'ing seat have to be against the seat back? If we put 2 RF'ing Sceneras in there with the Maestro in the middle I do not think the front of at least one of the Sceneras will touch the seat back.

FWIW we have a petite 22 month old, 4.5 YO, and will have a newborn in a couple of weeks.

The Chicco Keyfit and Safety First Onboard 35 are two of the more narrow ones. They work well in three-across situations. :)

I think there might be another narrow one ...

The Baby Trend Flex Loc is narrow but the handle has to be down (and I know some people do not like that).

I had the same issue just a couple of weeks ago.... I could not find an infant seat that would accommodate my needs.... I ended up having to get a MyRide65 (convertible seat). It sits kinda high but has a very narrow base, I believe it is between 12-13 inches (it has to be smaller then 13 inches because that is how much space I had between my two Radians). Not sure how well it plays with the Scenera and Maestro but it would be worth a try:)

The babytrend is narrow, besides the handle having to be down in the car, the release from the base is at the feet or front of the carseat instead of the back. I have a combi shuttle 33 and it's narrow. Don't know what your budget is, the shuttle is around $170 but it measures 16.5" at the widest. The handle has to be up in the car and the base must be used with children weighing more than 22lbs. Here's a pic, it's the one in the middle between a ss1 and kf30
