3 across help in volvo sedan

I was asked by a friend out of state, waiting to hear back on childrens sizes and other info. Will update ASAP

Mom has a 4dr volvo sedan. Almost 5yo and almost 6yo currently in Cosco Boosters, baby due in 5 weeks will be in a snugride... Radians have been suggested, but may not be cost effective if 5 and 6 yo are bigger, also how do Radians install in volvos? I have zero experience with these cars.

Would it be possible to fit a Parkway for 6yo? Maybe puzzle them...PW(sg?), FFing RN, SR? Depending on the size and maturity of 5yo... would 2 PW's fit with the SR?

Ok ,I have more info.... most of the above was wrong, lol

Children are 2.5 yo, 27lbs and 3.5, and 37lbs. So The Radians might not be so bad afterall, IF they install ok in Volvos.

Any suggestions would still be great.... no idea WHICH SR she has

I don't know how the Radians install in volvos but as long as they install well that 3 across will probably work. I have 2 RF RNs and an SR35 in the back of my liberty... a 22 fits better than a 32/35 but they all do fit.

I have a volvo, my mom has another we've gotten
Rf Scenera, FF radian, Rf scenera
baseless SR, FF Radian, Baseless SR
RF Recaro, FF Radian, RF Radian.
Rf Radian, RF radian, TB (Verry hard to buckle)
Rf radian, RF radian, OS Parkway (ehh not easy)

Radian works well in our volvos, but tricky instalation

Yep - I have a '98 volvo v70 wagon...

two radians, outboard passenger, and center work... and allow enough room to buckle really any average size seat outboard.

I think certain infant seats might work ok in the center - like the peg perego with the thinnish base... or the baby trend... the way it gets thin up by the bite of the seat.

Your biggest issue with a volvo is that the center position is just horribly thin.

Another option - depending on the size of the kiddos - see if you can get the volvo installed booster in the center (the drop down cushion - depending on the year of the car) - put the oldest child in the center in the volvo cushion booster, and then you should have room for either seat on the side of that. Just check the fit. Some kids fit great, others not so great.

My radians weren't tricky at all - but I have the older volvo with the switchable plates, so they are just pull tight. I would avoid any latchable boosters in the volvo if trying to do a 3 across... those extra few inches of space using a seatbelt can make or break it.

What year and model is the Volvo? I have an 87 240 and can fit 2 radians and a marathon all facing the same way.

The parkway fits very well next to the chicco, but I would not recommend a booster for a 3 year old.
Have her buy a Radian to RF the 2 year old for center. Snugride outboard and Nautilus other side for the 3 yo
