someday I will figure this car thing out.

OK so I have a question, I think I am going to lease a kia sorento, or borrego, I need the cargo room of a borrego, but the gas milage of the sorento. lol

Now after budgeting Keith and I were kind of hoping maybe we could find something with out a third row that was wide enough to 3 across...... I can three across his 03 passat, so I know I can 3 across an suv.. but I still want to be able ot do it with out having to get rid of all of my fun seats (like my frontier, and my my ride.)

I can always 3 across with two radians and our parkway if need be though... this might be what we have to do if we want to fit this in the budget.. our biggest concern is something that drives well in the weather. The minivan I am in can not even handle a gentle dusting of snow, and I refuse to drive it for another winter.. If I could get an suv with out a 3rd row I could swing this no problem cost wise.

So now what has a nice wide back seat for a 3 across that is affordable.. I have started on teh sportage but I am open to lots of different brands.

What kind of minivan? I have an odyssey and get around in the snow just fine. Maybe it's your tires? It's got to be front wheel drive, right? Why are you getting rid of the minivan?

Yea I would get an oddesy but money is a huge issue, I need to get out of the horrible car I am in and get something else, I want an suv type for the all weather type of traction, I hate fishtailing around all winter in my monteray.. I fear winter in it each year.. this year I refuse to do it again.

I wasn't actually recommending the Odyssey to you :p Just wondering why you are getting rid of your van now and thinking maybe you need better tires for the winter.

Going with an SUV with 4wheel drive you are going to lose gas mileage. :( You would need a much smaller SUV and that may not work with your 3 across needed situation.

yea it is more than just the tires, honestly I could go on and on, (I actually got new tires yesterday cause the old ones were at their end.. I toyed with getting snow tires, then decided not to since I am just trading it in soon) I am likely going to get the sorrento..it does have good gas milage, I just wish I could at least fit a stroller in the back lol. (though I have a volo so it folds small enough that it might work)
I was highly considering a sienna (2006) but I decided that I seriously just hate and always have hated minivans, and that I really don't want another.

hopefully I can lease something with a 3rd row this time, and then in 3 years or so, I can get something with just the 2 rows, because chances are in 3 years Julianna will fit an adult seatbelt, she is build like the women on Hubs side, they are all larger built woman, the other two are pipsqueeks from my side.

Ok as of right now we are just going to test drive the sorento on Sat and if we like it just go that route, it is the best car for our needs at the best price, we have to compromise a bit in our budget which is fine but most anything is better than what I am driving in now, there are so many things wrong with the monteray, I could go on for ever, I have to take it in every other week just to be told it is fine, even though the brakes make a raquet (brand new) the stearing wheel feels like it is going to brake right off, but they find nothing wrong with it (I have taken it to 3 places) OK I will stop cause there is more but I do not want to turn this into a complain about my old car thread lol:thumbsup:
