I installed our keyfit just to see the fit in my car and dh's car. I have a 2008 tauraus x dh has a 2010 focus both are fords. I have dd ff in the middle in both cars my car is a ma dh has a EFTA. It fits in my car with out moving the passenger seat to much, but the focus my knees are now touching the glove box. So I'm thinking of trying the cco in his car and buying that. The only store I can find it in is 1.5 hrs away and we just have not had time to get there. Wondering before we drive out there what odds we have of it fitting better in his car. I am not ok behind the close the the air bag. The only other thing I can think of is moving dd to the outboard passenger and putting our newborn in the middle seat.

I found it took less room than the kf30. Here's some pics in our 00 durango, the front seat was about 2 or 3 clicks from being all the way back and my hand is about 3" across when closed.

I gained about the same amount of room as Spam. (About 2 inches.) I had a KF30 & CCO in our Ford Freestyle.

Diapers.com has an awesome return policy. If finances allow, you could order one and return it if it doesn't work. I know that our CCO takes up much less room front to back than our SnugRide but I don't have any experience with the Keyfit.
