'98 Chevy Pick-up & Car Seat Placement

My husband and I just purchased a Silverado work truck ext. cab. We currently have a Graco MyRide 65. I don't have the truck in my possession right now so I can't check hook and latches.
In an extended cab pick-up w/ a bench seat in the rear, is it still the best option to put the carseat in the middle rear bench seat?

Here is a picture of the front seat.

My concern is that the rear seat is too small even though common sense tells me the rear is almost always safer. I just want to make sure that my daughter is safe. :)

As long as you can physically fit the seat, RFing in the middle of the back seat is the safest way to ride.

You won't have lower anchors, the truck is too old. Top tethers will only be there if it was retrofitted.

I have a 90 and 91 Silverado X-Cab and have been able to get a number of different seats back there (forward and rear facing). I have never tried a My Ride back there though, so not sure what to tell ya there. The seats are shorter on the bottom, so that does make it difficult with some and the way the carseats sit on them to make sure that there is less than a 20% hangover happening (at least 80% of the car seat base is on the vehicle seat).
