they seem to be more about best practice with booster use, however the rearfacing doesn't include the new recommendaion from AAP to RF til at least 2yo. we are still stuck at 1 & 20. improvements need to be made no doubt. of course more than 1/2 the poeple i see don't follow ANY of the law

the recommendation you are talking about was an article by an AAP correspondent, not the AAP recommendation. The current AAP policy is to RF to the limits of the seat or to at least 1 year and 20 pounds. http://aappolicy.aappublications.org/cgi/content/full/pediatrics;109/3/550 Last I read, their policy was in the works to have the 1 and 20 changed sometime this year IIRC but I'm not sur how far that's gotten. Here's their 2010 family guide http://www.healthychildren.org/Engl...fety-Seats-Information-for-Families-2010.aspx

i like that it says at the bottom about the lap belt only cars and that you should use a harnessed seat still. I think there are only 2kids in DD's school still using a carseat. Most are in nothing or NBB.

That page was updated many months ago. Def before I became a tech. I was impressed with it when I saw it too.

NJ's booster law has been 8 or 80 since 2001. Too bad most parents ignore it.
