recycle Turbo screws?

I picked up an expired no back Turbo today at a garage sale. I dismantled it to dispose of it and found that the screws in the armrests are the same as the ones that hold the bottom to the top of the seat (did that make any sense?). So, question #1- Can I use the armrest screws? I wasn't sure since I don't know the history of the seat and wasn't sure if it's an integrity issue. Question #2 - If I can use them, can I also use the screws that held the rest of the seat together for other armrests? They are exactly the same screw. Hope that post made some sense.

I would imagine if they'd been in a crash, you might see it.

I wish I'd looked harder at the 2 TBs I recycled last week.

I have a crashed TB. I haven't reused the screws because they seem to be an important functional part of the seat (hold the armrests down). I wouldn't want them to fail if they have to hold the armrests down a second time. I may add mine to my dad's large jar of random screws that he goes to when he needs screws for things around the house.

Will the hurt the 'strength' of them if they have been in a crash?

maybe if there's obvious wear on the threads, but I wouldn't think so. The metal screws would cause damage to the plastic pieces they're holding, not the other way around. If they look alright, I'd use them to reinforce Turbo arms that are missing the screws.

Hmmm. That makes a lot of sense.

That was my thought, but just wanted to double check. Just so everyone know... a Turbo has 10 screws in it all together (including the armrests).
