If you had both a non xt radian and a TF, which one would you use forward facing for a 2.8 year old who weighs 38 pounds and is 38 inches tall. Unfortunately in the vehicle i'm needing it to go in there isn't an option of RF. Also the seat belts do no lock without a locking clip, so the lock offs on the TF would be awesome. I'm just kind of curious as to what everyone would do in this situation.

Well, if you would prefer not to use a locking clip than the TF. I love the TF RFing and I think I would love it FFing as well.

I'd use the Radian for the SafeStop if there is a tether. If no tether, then the TrueFit for the lockoffs.

I assumed there were tethers since it wasn't mentioned otherwise, but if the belts don't lock, there's a good chance there aren't tethers. Good catch. Without tethers, Radian.

What's your reasoning for that? (Not challenging--just curious.) I'd go with the Radian for the low head-excursion numbers, although I admit I don't know how the TrueFit performs.

IIRC, the TF also did quite well without the tether.

ETA: I checked the numbers, the TF without tether does well. So yup, TrueFit for the lockoffs.
