Really great shape, for a 13 year old seat especially.

I didn't know cosco put eps foam on those seats. Recall kit included(not sure why it's not already put on the seat.)

Fabric cover and straps have been thoroughly laundered.

"Swatches of peach, yellow, aqua, light blue and pink make it a gender nuetral seat. This seat was used for one baby and is approx. five years old." Yep, those colors were all the rave in gender neutral five years ago.

Yep, the FPSE really is a great seat, but most are getting old, and that BIN price and shipping is a little steep. Oh, and I don't think that's the right chest clip, of course I guess it could be reflecting the flash.

Not bad, but I'm guessing that it was a hospital freebie.

Looks old.

Okay, overall there aren't too many terrible listings, not like I've seen in the past, but what's with all the aftermarket and custom add ons?

I always find it amusing when people misspell the brand names, etc on seats. Aren't you looking at the thing you're posting to sell???

I emailed the seller of the first listing this question through ebay:

I appreciate all the detailed information and pictures in your listing and it looks like your seat has been well cared for.

I did want to let you know that a seat that is 13 years old is no longer considered safe to use according to Transport Canada. Materials can degrade over time even with proper care and seats purchased new now come with a 6 yr expiry date stamped on them. Older seats Transport CAnada recommends using for no longer than 10 yrs, so even at the upper limit, this seat is no longer safe to be used to transport a baby.

I'm sure you are just trying to help another mom out and clear out stuff from your basement, but this seat is best either being destroyed by cutting the harness straps and breaking the plastic shell, or taking it to a local fire station where they will dispose of it or use it for training purposes.

Here's a link to Transport Canada's used seats info: http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/tp/tp13511/tips.htm#Used Car Seats

I would've put more, but I ran out of characters. I would've liked to refer her to the site here. Hopefully that comes off as friendly and helpful enough that she'll pull the auction.

Sorry, but this one just made me laugh at the description:

THIS IS AN INFANT CAR SEAT- IT

REQUIRES NO BASE ITS RATHER DEEP

FOR EXTRA COMFORT.

hahaha, rather deep for extra comfort. :p

Yeah, I think that first owner will probably remove the auction, she seems up and up to put up so many details and to have such a clean seat, yk? I'm guessing she's concerned about safety but oblivious to seats expiring.

I just got an email back from the seller and he has removed the auction AND destroyed the seat like I suggested. *wahoo*

That feels rather good, ya know. :)

I agree, its a graco chest clip, as the FP ones were purple wern't they, I bet they removed it for RF as per the directions but lost it when they turned to FF and just bought a graco one at BRU to "fix" it with.

A question about the hospital "freebies": Are they really free, or if you get an itemized bill will it show up on there for like $200? (Hey a tylenol is like $50 I could see them charging $$$$$$ for those crappy 3pt harness ugly seats)

Yeah, that's what I'm guessign with the chestclip. Not really a big deal but they should mention it's not original, so the potential buyers know, yk?

At least no one has bid on them. They would be crazy to pay $30.00+ just for shipping! Good job on the expired seat!

I had this seat for at least ten years now and it has had a great amount of use."

YUUUMMM!!!! At least I know it'll hold up, if it can last for 10 years-than I can pass it down to my grandkids some day!!!! Only awesome seats are made to last for decades!!!
