Snugride base 100% on seat? and Graco CS

Looked to see if I could find a thread on this, but I know the GN and TB are required to be 100% on a vehicle seat. Is it the same for the snugride or SS1? I emailed Graco to find out what they had to say and here was their reply:

Looking in the manual it is hard to tell. However all of the pictures clearly show the bottom part of the base on the seat. You may want to check with a technician in your area.

Well, being a tech in the area and I don't know, maybe one of you will. :)

Yeah, when Graco wants 100% on, they TELL you they want 100% on. If you don't find that warning in the manual, they go by 80%. :)

Your post is actually what prompted me to ask. I thought all Graco's needed to be 100%, but I guess that's not so with the snugride. :) Personally, I would say yours is at least 80% though. I know what you mean though, you can only do so much with a narrow seat.
