Would you replace Classic Britax seats with Britax 70 seats?

Since that's apparently the only thing that has a chance of working in my truck.

Remember, I have no tethers and Kaleigh is ff-ing in a BLVD. CJ is rear facing for now, but he'll have to ff eventually.

Does it mean that she can go back RFing? If so, yes, if that was the only seat that would work, I'd replace.

Yep. I could put her back rear facing for 3 lbs. A CA would probably work, but I prefer some sort of rebound protection especially since she will have other children on either side of her and if the seat rebounded, it could hit them in the face.

For FFing I would, however, since there seems to be reports of different children and different cars as to if the top slots are the same, less, or more: I would try it in your vehicle with your DD before i bought one. I thinking I remember you saying she was on the top slots???

For RFing I wouldn't. Even if you were to eventually need a second for FFing, you can wait and shop around for an awesome price.

I know that I found the MA70 to be more roomy than the RA55 and BV70 but you might not.

ETA: if it allowed her to go back RFing in a spot with no tether then I would replace then as well.

She's even with the 2nd to top slots on the old MA.

Not the best pic, but here ya go. *disclaimer* She was buckled for the trip, DS1 had already started getting her out when I took the pic.

Is there any more leg room in the new versions?

I would REALLY try it in your vehicle first. I think she would have some room FFIng but I am unsure about RFing.

I didn't find the RFIng leg room to be increased any when I compared the MA70 to my classic RA50. Melneimi has pics comparing the leg room of the new style to the old style on a thread somewhere on here. I think she said they were about the same too.

Dang. :( Probably not the best use of funds then, huh?

I wish something else would fit in that spot ff-ing and leave room for the other kids. It works because they sit behind the widest parts of the car seat when they sit next to it.
