Anyone have a 2008 or newer Tacoma?

I'm looking at the 2008+ double cab Tacomas, and need some input...

Love it? Hate it?

How is the back seat for installs? I need to put two boosters and a XTSL (rf for now) back there...

Talk me into or out of it;)

DW's cousin has it. I believe it's a 2008. Could be 07 tho. Don't think there's a difference tho.

No kids, but he takes his neice and nephew out in it sometimes.

It's, errr... tight. What kind of boosters? If they're real narrow, it might work since you've got a Radian as the 3rd seat instead of something really wide. Feels like a compact car in there. Least in the back seat area.

To put it bluntly, whenever we feel a little insecure about our ugly truck, we look at the cousin's Tacoma and how so much smaller and less useful it is, and we feel better about our truck's looks (or lack thereof). The new Tundra tho... drooool.

I was reading Codex's post, all  until I remembered that FIL drives a Tundra, not a Tacoma. The Tundra is awesome.

I have a 2006 Tacoma double cab....Not sure about the differences between that and 2008+ models, but it is a second generation tacoma. I compared some side views of the double cabs and they appear to be the same.

I don't have booster experience in the tacoma, but I know I can get a 30 degree RF install on the passenger side with LATCH. My seats are really squishy. I am only 5'1" but can sit comfortably with room in front of the RN. When we need to take an extra person, I can fit in the middle and buckle up. there are l/s belts in all three positions in my truck. I think it is easy for installs.

I really like the way it drives, and we are happy with it. No problems since we bought it either.

Haha, we have the Ridgeline. Ugly but soooooo functional. If you don't need the towing of a full sized truck, the Ridgeline is like the best of both worlds.

Maybe the size thing has to do with the drivers? DW's cousin is about 6'2" Maybe that's why it feels much tighter in the back than if it had a 5'1" driver? His g/f is about 5'8" or so so the passenger side rear isn't too roomy either.

DH is 5'10" and he can ride/drive with the MA installed RF, but not the RN. There is about 3 inches difference <--> between the two installs.

Do you hate the Honda Ridgeline? It's a pretty nice, but I know it's looks are kind of funky.

:duck: I think they're fugly...sorry Codex!

I'm 5'8, so not super tall. I'd likely put the XTSL in the center back, so it wouldn't matter how tall the driver/passenger was. Right now DD1 is in a Monteray, and DD2 is in a GN.

But oooh, the Tundra looks nice!!!!
