A women from THIS BOARD called me last week and asked for help getting her Radian XTSL into her 2009 Subaru Forrester. She had been on here, and online, and had chatted with The Car Seat Lady, and taken her seat to a specialty store, and everyone had told her the same thing: The Radian is not the seat for you. Give up on the Radian.
So she bought the Boulevard 70, and then called me to see if I could give the Radian one last go. I gave it a last go tonight, and I am pleased to admit that we got it installed! In less than 30 minutes! No bruises, no bumps, no bleeding!
I twisted the belt three full turns, and started with the foot of the seat away from the bite of the vehicle seat. Then we pulled, and tugged, and wiggled, and tested.... and it was in! Mom is thrilled, she wants to rear-face to 4 years old.
Since we were able to get the XTSL into Mom's car, the BLVD 70 is going into Grandma's car. We took it out and I showed her the lockoffs, removed the HUGS, etc. She's going to try installing it herself next week, and I'll run over and check it. It's the Paisley pattern, and oh boy is it gorgeous! The part that looks black online is actually a dark denim, and the entire cover is so soft! I love it.
Then as Mom and I were talking, she was telling me how her daughter is about to outgrow the Cocorro and how much she loved it and how she wished it would last longer, and I mentioned that I love the seat too, and I've almost bought one on several occasions. So, she pulls out her Cherry Pie and tells me to borrow it !!!! She wants to know how my 3 year old fits in it, I can't wait to try it out!!
