Graco screws

Can you tell the difference between these 2 screws?

There is none. Except that 1 was sent to me by Graco for the turbo boosters, and the other is from a recycled SS1 base. I just gained 4 new screws today (2 bases), which is good, because I gave out 10 yesterday.

you know at my class seat check there was a mom having us help with her unborn babys infant seat, she had a turbo in the car too but didn't want us to do anything... but i mentioned to an instructor that it didn't have its arm rest screws.... and the instructor was like umm so? i said about it being gracos rule in the manual and that they can become projectiles i repeated it to the mother, when we did our projectile talk and she was like well she is almost out of the seat anyway (child wasn't with her..) but the seat was set on its lowest setting..... anyway i was shocked that no one knew about the screws! i need to get some so i can make sure they get installed when I do checks from now on.

Susanx4, my lead instructor had no clue either. I was checking a car with a TB and ask him if he had any extras screws. He just kept asking why, what for, and saying that he had no idea what I was talking about.

You're supposed to tell the parent to contact Graco and get more. N, they don't have them at seat checks. And not only can the arm rest become a projectile, if the arms come out, it won't hold the lap belt down and the child will be injured.

Thanks for starting this thread, NannyMom.

I have a Graco backless booster and it came with no screws.

Can anyone post specs for the screws so I can pick up a couple at the hardware store? Or are they custom screws that only Graco can provide?

I would rather see you order them directly from Graco. I know we had a thread about people trying to find them at the hardware store, and it was quite tricky, to be honest.

Just follow this link and enter in your Model Number and DOM. They should arrive within a week, sometimes two weeks. Mine come fairly fast. :)

It actually did come with screws if you bought it new ;) They come in a little baggie with the manual.
