If it's an 06, then yes, I'd say March 2006. That could be 7, almost 8 weeks before the 24th of April.

I wish there was a more standard date code convention. I always hesitate when I see something like 03/06. I wonder if it's that March 06 or June 03. In this case, it's pretty clear because we know the model year.

Or could it be January 3rd? as in December 31 would be 365/06?

Sounds stupid but I have seen that before on something...

not stupid, that's exactly my point. I don't think GM uses that, but you're right that some places do. Maybe there doesn't need to be an all encompassing standard. They could use whatever format they want as long as they put MM/YY or DDD/YY under it or something.

March 2006. This is your Saturn Vue's door jamb sticker, right? (I remember you have a 2006 Vue from your other thread about installing your Radian SL with LATCH vs. seatbelt). I remember that notation from a 2003 Vue I used to own, purchased in mid-March 2003 with an 01/2003 or 02/2003 build date on the door jamb sticker. Totally possible timeframe, especially for a U.S. built vehicle purchased in the U.S. that didn't need to be transported over here on a transport/container ship from Japan or Korea or Europe, KWIM? :)
