DD keeps getting headaches in the car- could it be her seat?

DD (4 1/2) has been complaining that her head hurts in the car almost every time we've gone ANYWHERE (even to school...it's a 10 minute drive). I'm wondering if it could be the headwings on her RN XTSL.

She's about 39 inches tall and 36 pounds right now, I'm not sure what other seat I'd try her in.

That's about the age when my DD first started getting motion sick (even on short drives, if we did enough turns), and she would say her head hurt to describe the feeling. Did you recently move her from the center to outboard? That can be a trigger if she was used to looking out the front window.

Can you tell if she is craning her head forward in order to see beyond the headwings? That can put a lot of stress on the neck...?

I haven't noticed since I'm the one driving 99% of the time but I'll peek at her next time DH is driving.

I had terrible car sickness as a child and that was what came to mind when I read your OP. Of course it could be something else, but if it is car sickness and you are looking for things that might help, I could offer some suggestions based on my childhood experience. Can you move her to a position with a better view out the front (like the middle)? That would help a lot. Otherwise, as far as managing it, things that help with nausea in general helped me, like keeping the car cooler (or her location cooler) might help, drinking cool water, cracking the window for some fresh air. Having car sickness as a child can be really awful. I hope that isn't it for her sake. Good luck!
