My husband's boss has 4 kids and one on the way and their car seat use is...well terrible. He brought his son that's my youngest son's age over months ago...they were barely over 2yrs old at the time...in a backless booster. Apparently him and the 4-5yr old ride in that. It has been eating at me since and my husband finally talked to him enough to get him to start wondering and he asked me to send him some information for all of his kids. So I sat down and wrote a very long email with links, videos, recommendations but never really heard anything back. Tonight he called when leaving BRU with new seats! The 5yr old (who didn't sit properly) is harnessed, the almost 3yr old is harnessed, FF but hey it's a lot better, the newly turned 1yr old is now RF in a Complete Air and the baby on the way has a new key fit waiting for him.

He was asking a lot of questions, like he has the complete air really reclined, didn't know it could be more upright, when I told him it could he said "oh good that will be good cause then it will be flat and probably install better" so now I'm really wondering how he has it installed that it isn't flat on the seat???? I know he would never take them to a tech, he just can't be bothered, so I told him to bring them by and I can at least look at them and be sure they are installed properly, he knows I'm not a tech but know quite a bit, but I figure me doing it is better than it being done completely wrong. I'll still tell them to have them checked but at least I can show them how it's supposed to be done and even if they aren't checked I'll know they are in right.

Wow, that is great news. Bet it gave you a warm fuzzy feeling when he listened to what you were saying.

Yeah I'm so glad he listened. When he brought the 2yr old over he was tiny like my guy who was still RF so seeing him in a backless booster that even my 7yr old doesn't ride in worried me like crazy. Every time Mark (my husband) mentioned seeing the kids that day I was always asking just hoping he wasn't still riding in it. Luckily my husband listens to me pretty well so was able to nag at him with some stuff lol and finally got him to realize what he was doing wasn't safe
