My mistake! I jumped the gun, though technically I only posted a photo;-) The "65" product versions are the Canadian versions. The "Classic" models do not have "65" in the product name.

So, this insert is only compatible with the USA and Canadian versions of the new convertible line, not the classic and discontinued versions that also happened to be rated to 65 pounds.

So the Canadian versions of the Britax 70s are called 65? They need new names. New product, new name.

Yep, the new Britax seats here in Canada are listed as 65.

I was checking out the picture and trying to figure out what was so special....rofl

Really? Could they have taken a little more ink to break those names up into seats available by country?
And what about that old picture some retailers had of the Companion foam in a classic Marathon?

Oh well, probably no one will ever even care about this but 'us', lol.

Oh Phew, thanks for clearing that up. I was VERY confused for a minute as we were specifically told at KIM that the new accessories are ONLY approved on the new seats (infant insert, cupholder, was there something else?)

The new foam looks similar. I'll have to track down the Chaperone foam to see if it is the same, but I think it's a bit different from memory.

It works nicely. Like in the Chaperone, it raises the baby and pushes them forward, moving them up perhaps an inch or so and also taking some space behind the crotch buckle, leading to a better fit. With the Huggable Images 7 pound newborn doll, it results in an adequate fit, much improved from using no foam, but still not quite ideal.

I imagine with a real baby, it would be acceptable on typical newborns. It is rated for babies 5-11 pounds, but I have a hunch it may not result in a great fit until 8-11 pounds, but I will need a test baby to know for sure!

Photos coming later tonight, I got caught up in after school stuff sorry!
