Will he need a new seat soon?

So here is my ds (age 3.5). He is very close to the rf weight limit on one of his roundabouts (33lb limit and he is a 32lb child). I tried him out ff in it before sending it off with Gma. He still has rf seats at home. My question is will he need a combo seat? How soon will he need it? It seems like he has a few inches of harness height left in this seat but how long will that last?

Holy cow. I'm just jealous your 3.5 year old still fits RF in a Roundabout. My kid outgrew those at around 15 months, RF.

Probably 12-18 months, I'd guess it'd last, if you're lucky and he doesn't have a major growth spurt :twocents::) (and, uh, yeah, Leah fit about like that at 27 months, I'd have loved it if she fit in her wonderful RA RF for a year longer!)

Okay so he'll outgrow it ff in about 12 months you think? He still has room rf right now if he wasn't such a brick. Once he gets to 35lbs he'll have to ff in the other roundabout as well but if his days are numbered ff then I'll start planning for replacing both of them soon.
