I think if they replaced the girl image with another image like the words "slow down", a warning road sign image or the the actual speed limit, it would be a much better idea.

I agree. I'm afraid that having something in front of me on the road while I'm driving would startle me and cause issues but I'm willing to learn to deal with a warning sign. And it would probably be helpful in some situations. But NO images of children

Yes, even if someone is going 15-20 MPH and they see that and it startles them, they might jam on the brakes to come to a screeching stop and stopping like that can't be good for your car and tires.

I was recently going 25 MPH tops on an on ramp and had to come to a screeching stop because a car in front of me decided he didn't want to get on the road and was reversing at 30-35 MPH, it really scared me. I could definitely see that happening to people if they think they are going to hit a child.

Yeppers, this just conditions people to ignore children in the road. No biggie there.

Darren, darling, you duplicated a thread! Old news!

I think it would just cause people to slam on their brakes and swerve. Seems like it would just cause an accident?

Yeah, that's stupid. It will just desensitize people to it.

I think I could have fun with that concept, though. I mean, you could do pictures of aliens, pictures of giant spiders, etc, etc. I mean, YOU would stop for a little green man chasing a ball, right?

The images just have to be something you wouldn't encounter regularly to avoid desensitization.
