I watched my friend's kids today. When she picked them up I walked to the car and her baby was asleep in his seat..... the baby was literally sleeping on his side. me "oh, isn't he strapped in", her " no, he's strapped, but he wiggles so much, I don't know what to do". .."well, you probably need to tighten the straps". I took out at least 5 inches of slack. showed her the pinch test. The kids were all screaming, so I didn't go any further but I told her it looked like DS2 needed his straps tightened too.

WOW! I would have had to said something to. Glad that she seems receptive & willing to take advice. I hope that you can get her seats fixed for her. I have a friend that I have helped her fix hers to so I know how you feel.

Ugggh, I hate that! Good for you for saying something, though. Saw a friend of mine drive up to school today with her two kids and niece in the car (all under age 6) and they were all standing up in the back seat as she pulled in. I am sure she puts them in boosters but apparently allows them to unbuckle as she approaches a parking spot.

I never know what to say . . . I think it usually comes out sounding judgmental.
