Anything else we should look at?

We're in the market for a new vehicle. Minivan or third row crossover. On our list to test drive are: Chevy Traverse, Ford Flex, Toyota Sienna, Mazda 5, and Honda Odeyssy. Anything else we should consider?

Honda Pilot

If using all seating positions is important to you, make sure to check on headrests. The Traverse doesn't have head rests in the middle of 2nd row and middle of 3rd row. Also check on top tethers in the third row if you'll have FF kids there. Can you tell we recently looked at the same types of vehs?

If FF carseats in the third row isn't important-Mazda 9 and Hyundai Veracruze

I received a brochure for the new Ford Explorer. It looks very nice-kind of Land Roverish. Not sure when they'll be out.

Order a Flex brochure from the Ford website. Mine came with a coupon for $750 off. It was on top of whatever other rebates were available.

fyi: We wound up with a Flex and I love it. The basic model is very deluxe compared to the basic models of the others we looked at. Sync is great.

One big difference between the Rondo and Mazda 5 is that the 3rd row of the Mazda has top tethers, the Rondo doesn't.

I have a Mazda 5 and love it but it is not huge by any means.

Yeah, definitely want the most top tethers I can get. I'm concerned that I won't have room for a double stroller behing the 3rd row in the 5. We're looking at getting a double BOB so a pretty big stroller. Thoughts?

This post talks about a double that fits behind the 3rd row but you have to take the wheels off -

I've never seen a double BOB folded but I'd be absolutely shocked if it fits folded behind the 3rd row if both seats are used. It is super tiny back there.

To give you an idea - I have a single PegPliko3 which is a fairly small folding stroller that only fits with half of the 3rd row up (the wheel end is too wide to go behind the seat if it's up so I have the handles behind the seat being used and the wheels on the folded half - I've never tried taking the wheels off to see if that would work though).

It's a great little car/van but if you want all 6 seats in use AND take anything bigger than a couple gym bags I'd look bigger.
