The front-adjust Snugride we had in mind is now out of stock. I also recently found out it is a pattern from 2008 and so the chances of them restocking it will be slim to none.
We have a SR22 base (tan, but it doesn't matter) that I scored on clearance at Target, and we have a Snugrider frame (just bought), both waiting for baby. So I planned on a Snugride.
Other front-adjust Snugrides are $40 more than that one. No, it wouldn't break the bank, but at the same time I have a hard time paying $110 for something I see as so temporary.
I had originally planned on a front-adjust SR because my SIL will be coming to nanny for us when baby is around 6 months old... I want something easy for her to use. But the more I think about it, the more I think by then we can get away with a convertible + stroller in whatever car she'll be driving the baby around in (we have a TF waiting for baby, but DH and I would both prefer an infant bucket for at least the first 3-4 months).
So do you think a rear-adjust SR would be OK? We had one with DD and I remember it being a PITA but getting used to it anyway....
I'd rather not go with a higher-weight seat, as DD hated her infant seat, we have seats already ready for the baby when he/she outgrows the infant seat (or we get tired of using it) and because we already have some of the components.
Thoughts/things I might not be thinking of??
