Roundabout50

So I bought the $100 Roundabout50 from Target tonight. DD loves it but I am not sure about it. Would you use this car seat in a Dodge Caravan, a Mazda Protege and a Toyota Sienna? I currently have a True Fit and it seems like she has so much more room it that seat. I really like that pattern and I have installed it in any car yet to see the amount of leg room she has. If I keep this seat we will have 2 car seats but 3 cars that will use one so either the True Fit or the Roundabout50 will be install in both the Protege and Caravan once a week. I work 1 day a week at my church. My MIL watches DD and needs a seat for her and DH picks her up from MIL's house on his way home from work. So I will install either seat in the Caravan that morning and then DH will install that car seat in his car to drive home. We don't really have the budget for 2 seats since DH wants the nice latch connectors.

Sorry for the book.

Would you use this seat forward facing without any doubt?

DD is about 25 pounds, 36 inches tall and 2 years 4 months. My goal is to rear facing until 3 or longer if she is still under the weight and height requirements.

Yes, I currently do use Britax convertibles forward facing. But for you that's still a ways off, regardless. If you decide not to use it FF (down the road), then sell it (or give it to someone who needs another RF seat), and get an inexpensive FF seat like the maestro for the backup seat.

It's a great price on a good seat, and if I had any use for one, I'd be jumping on board with that deal.

Thanks for reassuring me. I will probably end up buying Nautilus seats for Dd once she forward-faces but it will still be useful in other people's car. I hope she has legroom once I install the seat.

IMO the RA50 is one of the easier seats to install, so if you are needing to move a car seat around once a week this is a great one to use. And like the other poster said, if you don't like it for forward facing you can sell it and purchase a ffing only seat at that point. It is a great price for that seat.

I got one for DD with the Target deal too. It will be our primary seat for her. After spending hours looking and studying new seats, I decided to go with what I knew, we had a MA and and RA and I loved both of those seats and DD loved the RA. She is very happy in her RA 50 and I won't have much guilt if I replace it with something else for that price.

I have one RFing in a Mazda Protege. It fits pretty well behind the passenger seat. I have to move the seat up a little, but it's still comfortable for a passenger to sit there with the RA50 behind them.
