A who goes where thought.

I'm having a very stressful difficult time with the prospect of two seats side-by-side and my 12 year old in the backseat of my Trailblazer when little one comes in Dec. I bought a Babytrend Flexloc because of the narrowness and I'm unable to install it center with the seat belt. It just doesn't work, I tried everything. This got me really upset because I just can't seem to get anything else (bucket) to fit center. I don't want to go convertible at least at first because she'll be a winter baby in MI.

Soooo....... I got to thinking last night at work (I work alone, lots of time to think LOL) that my DS2 rode outboard from birth. I've been in the mindset that I should put the new baby center because she'll be the most vulnerable. And while that would be ideal, it would also be ideal to put all my kids in the center. And that's not possible. So I was thinking would it really be so terrible to put the new baby outboard and my DS2 center? It would solve my problem nicely, his XTSL or Avenue installs great center and the Flexloc installs great w/ LATCH outboard.

Thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I always prefered a little baby outboard if there were other kids in the row. For one, the baby is rear-facing, so the baby is already VERY protected. Second, have you ever had to lift a baby over another seat several times a day to get them in the middle? In the rain while the child that sits in that seat you are leaning over gets soaked? :p Not fun.

Also, you have a trailblazer. I'm short, but I had to get all the way up on the step to put the baby or infant seat in the center. Painfull just after having a baby and still not fun after a while.

Does that make you feel better about putting the baby outboard?
