Question Exp dates

My car seat has more than one exp date. On the sticker it says MAR2011, then in the plastic it says do not use after DEC 2011. Also in the plastic are circles indicating Aug 22 2011. Whats the deal?

Sometimes the shell has one date based on when it was made, but there's another based on when it was assembled, etc.

Call Evenflo if you wish to see what they say, but I personally would go with the earliest date.

This is common with Evenflo seats. I'd give them a phone call and see what they say. They will probably tell you to go 6 years from the Date of Manufacture. :) I'd probably go with the earliest expiration date listed though, just to be safe. However, if 6 years from the Date of Manufacture is before the earliest listed expiration date, I'd go by that instead.

The DOM is MAR 2005. Im thinking the sticker was put on last, and Id go by that date. The DEC 2011 had to have been part of the mold of the seat. The circles have a big ring around the lot of them.. looks like it was a stamp into the plastic. Thats what I think it looks like. But wanted to see what you all had to say about it. thanks!
