Anyone else find this odd?

So I was watching 19 kids and counting. They seem to use an umbrella stroller flip an infant bucket seat handle all the way down, like you do to stabilize it from rocking, and put the seat handle over the stroller handle. So basically they are making a "travel system." I've seen them do it before but they left the hospital with their macro preemie that way. I was shocked no one in the hospital said anything about it. Tonight I was watching it again and Michelle carried this "system" down a flight of stairs with baby in it. DH even made the comment that is odd and unsafe.

Put the handle as far back as it will go. Then put the handle over the umbrella stroller handle and slide down. It sits forward facing.

Is it ok? No. I have seen recently in umbrella stroller instructions to not do it, but yes, it works. Not with all infant buckets though.

In the past I've seen on the show them use it with Graco SnugRides, Evenflows, and Josie's seat is a KeyFit.

Really, a key fit. I guess it depends on the umbrella stroller then. Hmm, did I try a key fit? I was playing with this again a couple months ago.

Yeah that one. I remember a 2 in the one that shows it right away. She has it that way when the Dr comes in and a bunch of nurses saw it as well. I'm suprised not one said anything. I know when our little (well big) guy left the NICU the nurse carried him in his seat out and down to the front door.

Yep, that is how I showed people. Remember that this was the beginning of my baby sales.
