Radian xt cover install

My little girl got sick last week and I cleaned off the Radian and set it outside to dry. Before I checked on it again, the ants found it. Therefore, I took the cover off and deeply cleaned every piece.

Now that the cover has dried, I am trying to put it back on and can't seem to make it work.

Ay instructions / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Stan

From reading other posts here, the radian cover really seems to be a pain to remove. What part of the cover install are you issues with? Do you still have those little black pegs that hold the cover on the base?

I always start at the top and work my way down. Start by putting the two plastic hooks things over the top edge of the shell. Next, about half way down on the sides, two more smaller hooks. At the bottom of the sides, wrap the elastic over the edge of the side. Settle the bottom half of the cover into place, bringing the harness around so it's not buried under the cover (harness goes around the outside of the cover, not through the slot). Snap the two snaps that are near baby's hips on the inside of the seat. Hook the two plastic bits over the bottom of the seat, near baby's feet. Done. I don't put the black plastic pegs back in, and find that the cover stays on well without them, but if you want to put them back in, by all means do.

Then you just have to get the harness rerouted. Put the crotch buckle in the appropriate slot. Buckle the harness, crotch buckle and chest clip both. Making sure nothing is twisted, thread the shoulder straps through the correct slots, put on the SafeStop if necessary, and reconnect to splitter plate.
