I got an old style one from diapers.com for $18. I added some stuff from soap.com to make my total $25 so I got free shipping.

Have you tried just wrapping/folding a small blanket?

I have the old style and as much as I'd like to sell it, I really can't recommend it.

I have a green one I'm willing to sell for $20 shipped. Old style, only used a handful of times. In great shape.

Never used an insert with a newborn in mine. They did fine without it
