New Britax Fabrics - Close Look

While looking at them online to figure out which fabrics were soft and which were not, some seats were obvious. Like cowmooflage in all models, Allison in MA, Emily in BLVD70 CS. These did not match my taste and I had to spend a lot of time zooming in on other fabrics to get a clear view.

I finally ordered BLVD70 CS in Silver Birch for my DD(10 months, 20 lbs) at Amazon. It arrived yesterday. I spent extra bucks on CS model only because the fabric seems to be softer than BLVD70 onyx.

To help people in deciding the fabrics I am posting close-ups of our Silver Birch. I hope others do the same too as a compilation here.

Silver Birch is very soft. The design part is not very rough and definitely not uncomfortable for the baby. My DD outgrew her Keyfit30 and looked so cramped in it. But in this she looked so comfortable and was dozing off in it happily.

Deciding on the car seat is of course more important than choosing a fabric. Once we make the first choice the second becomes important too. After all its where our sweet little ones spend quite some time in.

And I had to say...Amazon shipping was so quick. I ordered on 22nd with free super saver shipping...I got the shipping estimate of 27th..but got email saying it shipped on 24th and delivery was on 25th.

Oh, that's pretty! I hope my Allison is really soft. My old MA is cowmoo and very plush.

That does look comfy.

is that the same one that brus has?? if so i had to feel it as i was walking by yesterday and i how soft it was! the allison is plush and soft too, but the fibers are a little longer so it feels a little different. if that makes any sense at all

BRU exclusive is Wyndham.

The smokey pearl RA55 is the soft plush type of cover. The entire cover (both the plain brown and the polka dot area) has the same feel to it. It feels just like the allison MA70. Very soft and cozy. Are we posting pics here too? I can try to get some up sometime today.

I felt the covers at BRU. Our store has four different models. I'll tell you what I can remember. The Berkley RA55 is the soft plush fabric. The look was not my taste (I color) and the black edge is very black, but it did have a sharp look to it and I could see why some people might like it. I spent the least amount of time looking at the jet set MA70 and the cavalier blvd70 so I do not remember these as well. I think their patterned fabrics were textured. Anyone else remember if that's right? I didn't like the jet set at all. Recently, I have noticed BRU carrying some ugly Britax covers and I don't get it, but I know we all have different taste so someone must like them. The Wyndham blvd70cs had a smoother fabric. Not plush, but not unpleasant feeling and attractive enough, although a little blah for me.

I have pics of the BRU RA55 and MA70 in my post trying to figure out what I want...

Is the Silver Birch actually silver? Or does it have a blue-ish tinge to it? This is what I can't tell from the picture. Also, is it plasticky at all--would it make LO sweaty? I read Onyx can do that.

Thanks for any help. Deciding between this one and Cavalier (from BRU). They would be the same price for me, so it's just a matter of which would be the comfiest/least likely to be sweaty in.
