Need help picking out new car seats

My DH bought a new car, it's a 2005 jetta TDI, so of course it's tiny.
We need to buy a new car seat for DD as her Evenflo Aura Select does not fit. We also want to buy a new seat for DS as we now know his BB probably isn't a good idea.
Any suggestions?
My sister recommended the Safety 1st Air Protect Complete Air but I'm so new at this it's overwhelming.

Ok, do you have a budget?

I assume for your DS you are thinking of getting a highback booster? If so you could look at the Britax Parkway SG, the Sunshine Kids Monterey, or if you are on tighter budget, the Graco TurboBooster (he may be too tall, I'm not sure).

For your DD were you thinking of going to a convertible now? If so there are quite a few good options. One that comes to mind would be the new Evenflo Triumph 65. It's available for pre-order at ToysRUs, though apparently some stores actually have it in stock already. I pre-ordered it for my DD. The True Fit would be another great option, or the Complete Air. You may want to try before you buy, to make sure they fit well. Oh, there is also the Graco MyRide.

Yup DS needs to go into a HBB, I just think it's safer.

I think a convertible is the way to go.
Money at this point is no a biggy. She's going to be in this seat for a long time so we look at it as an investment.
I'll look into those, I'll see what fits our car best.
