Is this LATCH hook safe to use?

I got a MA in swap and it came today. I noticed that a piece of the black plastic has broken off the bottom tip of one of the LATCH hooks. It seems to only be cosmetic, but I wanted to check first before using it. The metal hook part works fine. It hooks on to the anchor just fine. Thoughts?

I'm not an expert by any means, but I would mostly worry about what caused the plastic bit to break off. :twocents:
