cost to ship a locking clip?

My XT's came with locking clips that I don't use and my little brother needs one for his car. So, I plan to just mail him one of mine and wondered if it's too heavy to just toss in a standard envelope. I figured you mama's have had at least some experience in mailing car seat parts ;). Anyone know if it's too heavy for a .44 stamp??

No clue about mailing one, but did you know you can buy locking clips fairly cheap at BRU? I'm sure you can get them other places too, but BRU is where I have seen them.

My brother lives in a teeny tiny town that's an hour from any decent sized city (in 3 different directions). He has walmart. That's it . He was just going to buy one on amazon, but if I don't need mine, then I figured I might as well save him $10 (with shipping).

You can throw it in an evenlope, but you can't just put a stamp on it because it's thicker then a piece of paper. But it will cost like $1.00 to ship - you'll just have to do it at the Post office - or calculate the postage from home if you have a scale that does oz. (like a food scale).

I'd be worried it would rip out of a standard envelope during processing. Can you get one of those cardboard ones to put it in? I'm sure it won't be more than a couple of dollars to ship it either way. :)

I wouldn't ship in a regular envelope but a small manilla envelope will be great and it should ship for less than $2.

I sent the last ones out in a bubble mailer. I would not ship yours, because you may need it. What if your car breaks down, and you must use someones that you have to have a locking clip for?

Many caregivers think they NEED a locking clip when they don't (they have perfectly good locking seat belts).

What is the make/model/year of your sib's vehicle(s)?

If he indeed needs one, it should only cost $1 or so, but I would use a reinforced envelope.
