Anybody do a convertible w/ n00b in COLD winter?

I really want a bucket for my little one due late Dec. Mostly because we live in MI and Jan-Feb can be very bitter cold. So I would love just to buckle up baby in a warm seat, cover her with blankets and go. If I have her in a convertible then I have to put her in a cold seat. I can warm up my vehicle at home but other places I can't.
So I'm on the fence. I have 4 things to trade in at BRU and I could get a FlexLoc for $75+tax w/ the 25% off coupon. Or I could be a good girl and just use one of the 4 convertibles I already have. But.... the pull of buying a new seat is strong. DH said if I sell two of my seats I can buy two more.
I have no clue what to do. I won't be taking baby out a lot so a bucket isn't as "needed" as if I have to go out all the time. ARRGGGHHHH!!! Help me decide what to do!!

I did with my oldest. He was born in November in TX.

Even living here, with every child after that, I've had a bucket. ;) So my opinion is get the bucket and keep that baby warm.

I used a convertible from the beginning with DS1 who was born Dec 20. I kept a Hanna Anderson pilot cap on him and just covered him with a fleece blanket. I never felt like he was cold with those measures. I also have a corn bag I can heat up in the microwave that I put at his feet to warm him that way.
I think I worry more about keeping ds2 cool during this horrible heat wave.

I used convertable with my first 2 in Alaska in the winter and I didn't find it to be a big deal at all. I dressed them in fleece buntings and hats and would baby wear.
