I think the answer is no .. but probably everyone here will say "of course!" .. lol. I have an EFTA and Maestro in my vehicle for my kids. I have Avenue and Maestro in DH's truck and my mom's vehicle-- and I will not remove the Maestro in the truck, the TT is a PITA. I did have a dorel harness/booster (bad booster, bad) and Evenflo titan (w/ 30# RF limit) but was storing them in the basement and the harnesses were destroyed by mildew. I also have 1 HB TB that I bought because it was a good price, not using it yet. ..... my question is ... on the occassions which are seldom, that I am transporting other kids, I know how much of a PITA it is to change seats, especially when you don't have much time to do it .. so it's nice if I have seats that I can install ahead of time. But I also don't like taking my own seats out of other vehicles to put in mine, then I have to go back and re-install again (vs. just having extras that need done 1x). I really don't transport others often, but DD1 is getting to the age when that may start to happen more often. Ususally if it's playdates, we just do drop-off,pick-ups .. but would be nice to be able to car pool or take the kids to the park. And again, I hate to make the parents change their seats - or they may not want to .. and I may not want to use the seats provided anyway. But I also think my DH would probably freak if he thought I were buying seats for other peoples kids. I priced out buying new straps for the Titan, was going to be aroung $28, it has 2.5 more years on it. Or getting a Scenera for $39. I have 1 dear friend w/ 3 boys. Her oldest 2 are both about 6 months younger than my kids, and 3rd son is 6 months old now. They would be the ones I would most frequently run into the issue with. Before my straps got ruined, I could use wht I had for the oldest 2 .. haven't watched the baby yet.

Is $40 for a scenera or $70 for a maestro worth your peace of mind (knowing you can transport all children in your vehicle safely) and convenience (not having to uninstall seats)? You're not buying the seats for other people's children. You're buying them for you.

I know .. that's what I tell myself when I go to reach for it .. then I think -- you have 7 seats now -- use what you have. And I'm sure that's what DH would sa if I came home w/ another seat. I was really hoping I could find another Kmart Avenue or EFTA after I came to the realization that my spares were no longer usable.

Talk with your DH about seats. Spend lots of time reviewing different scenarios out loud ("I could take the ____ from _____'s car for _____ if she even needed me to take him. But then.....So maybe I should.....") Eventually he will get tired of hearing about it and tell you to get the seats already if you'll just stop worrying (and making him listen to your worries) about it!

It worked with my parents. They are really against me spending money (and they still support me so their opinion does count) on seats for the babysitting kids. But they got tired of me worrying about it, told me to get the seats, and now keep their negative comments to a minimum.

Manipulating people like that is not a good plan.
