Local Dr promoted ERF on radio!!

I turned on the radio this morning to hear a local Dr (that visits the radio show every Wednesday) advising a parent that she should not turn her LO ff until 1 & 20, but then she said you really need to rear face to 2 yo or as long as possible. The Dr was explaining why it is so important to rear face (that the child goes into the car seat back and is protected...) and that parents shouldn't worry about rf in rear end collisions because those are usually low impact.
I was so excited to hear this because this station is fairly popular and I know a lot of people heard this.

I will add the Dr kinda disappointed me when she made a comment about how annoying it can be to keep the seat rear facing for so long, but she followed that comment up with it's the safest option (erf).

Just needed to share my excitment with people who would understand :D

Thats great! What radio station was it on? I'm from Ok and all of my family is there including my niece and nephews who aren't riding as safe as they should be(FF by 1st B-day, boostered at 3, ugh). I'd like to see if I can get any info to pass on to them that they might take to heart.

I'm guessing the doctor specifically said that because she is MORE likely to convince people if she sounds like she's "on their side" and understands their concerns. Listeners can now think, "oh, she knows it's annoying, and despite that she still wants us to keep him RF" rather than, "yeah, she says to keep him RF, but doesn't she know how darn ANNOYING it is??!"

Anyway, that's great! Hope people were paying attention!
