TFP infant padding

I can't find my tfp manual, right now, and i am watching my friends DD tonight, i never used the infant padding but remember that there was a rule for weight or shoulder slot...?
she is 5 months old and weights over 20 lbs so i know i need the headrest on, and i am guessing she needs second harness slots, though i will adjust as i see where she actually fits. ( i am taking her to my LLL meeting, i am a leader and have to go! so i get to take a baby!!)

Thanks

I just checked the manual and it says the infant padding is only needed "until the child's shoulder is at or above position 1."

She is a big baby if she's over 20 lbs. at 5 months! My peanut of a goddaughter is only 22 lbs. at 26 months!

I thought I saw some posts recently where people had talked to the First Years (Compass, whatever it is now) and were told that the padding needed to be removed when the LO reached 22lbs. Of course I can't find those posts right now. But I would probably leave it out for a 20lb+ baby just in case.
