I figured I'd make a new thread for this instead of hijacking Sam's thread... and who doesn't like to see kids in carseats anyway?
I bought this from albeebaby.com. It's the sale Navy Marathon and it has a manufacture date of Dec 20, 2006, so it's still pretty new.
Here's my ds, age 18 months old, 20 pounds, 29 inches long with a long torso in his brand new just-arrived-yesterday Marathon. It was so easy to install... took less than 5 minutes and it's rock solid! It moves the car it's in there so tight.
He loves it, I love it, even dh (who fought tooth and nail against buying a new seat) loves it.
I have him in on the second to bottom slots. He's dead even with them.
It's a little darker than I thought, but still pretty. It's actually a bit brighter than the pics show, but it was raining yesterday, and nowhere near as bright as they show on the website (per usual).
Oh, and just because I can, I took a picture of my 6 year old in it. She's 7 pounds over the rf weight limit, but you can see even she has plenty of room to grow in it. (forgive the goofy face, she was trying to tease her brother)
